I have written 40+ reviews probably and don't remember scoring an accommodation this high. Luxurious house, with attention to detail, offering three bedrooms with each a bathroom. The airconditioning is a plus when it gets really hot. Park your car (you can charge it at a reasonable cost) in your private courtyard. Enjoy your private garden (very large) with pool (nice temperature of 29-30 degrees C) or relax in the jacuzzi. Retreat to the other garden, near the entrance of the house for an apero or a BBQ. A separate building - Le Chai - will offer a selection of meals (you only need to heat them briefly to serve), champagne (of course) and some other drinks. You will be charged separately. The village is calm, not many shops, but various places to visit not far away; don't forget to visit Troyes. Recommended restaurant: Le Garde Champetre (need to make reservations). Not to forget: very friendly contact with the proud owners Stephane (who makes a fabulous champagne - I know cause I have probably tasted more than 50 during 15 visits to the Champagne region in the past 20 years) and Carol before and during our stay. 😞 - I should have booked two weeks instead of only one.read moreread less

Alleen in het dorp zelf heeft de tijd 200 jaar stilgestaan en weinig tot geen vertier maar wel een paar plaatsjes verderop. Wel een paar prima restaurants. Les hôtes sont très réactifs et devancent les questions que l'on pourrait se poser pour nous faciliter la vie. Bref, tout est absolument parfait et conforme à la description. En plus de cela, il y a de l'exceptionnel :- La literie est ultra confortable, à tel point que j'ai demandé les références de matelas et coussins aux hôtes ( qui me les ont gentiment donné )- le système du chai, avec à l'achat de manière très simple à toute heure de très bons plats et desserts, du vin du champagne... en quantité bien plus que suffisante et à des prix très raisonnables.- une bouteille de champagne était au frais et offerte par les hôtes.Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, je recommande vivement et merci aux hôtes !read moreread less

Marcus14/06/2024Carol and Stephane’s place is a superbly appointed property, very stylish and comfortable for the four people in our party - each bedroom having its own bathroom facilities. The villa is very private, but easily accessible and is within walking/cycling distance of the small supermarket and Boulangerie meaning it’s very convenient if you like to cook. There are also some good takeout options with the local pizzeria which we used a few times and also the very good cafe down the road that changes menu every day. It’s the perfect place to come and relax, read a book, go for a walk and wind down around the fantastic pool - it’s quite rural so don’t go expecting a vibrant night life! Drink superb champagne (Stephane does a very interesting tasting session of his own champagne at the property), eat cheese and forget about the world for a while! The hosts have thought of everything to keep families entertained, there are games to play both indoors and outside. There is plenty of outdoor space for families. Les Riceys is a beautiful, authentic French village. It's very quiet, but there are a couple of restaurants. Keep an eye out for opening times and make a booking in advance as they were fully booked during our stay due to a champagne festival. They were very quick to respond to all of our questions and the place was very welcoming upon our arrival. The beds are very comfortable, the shower water pressure was excellent and the rooms are much larger that your standard European accommodation. The kitchen is stocked very well, to the point we were able to cook our full Thanksgiving dinner! To top things off, was enjoying the Lombardi champagne with our meals, truly memorable. The first evening,Stéphane arranged for a Lombardi champagne tasting for my husband and I so we had the opportunity to sample 4 different bottles and they even brought sparkling apple juice for our 13 year old daughter so that she could partake in the tastings like a grownup. Wir haben uns das Frühstück selbst zubereitet und im Garten in toller Atmosphäre gefrühstückt. Die Lage ist direkt im Ort Les Riceys. 😞 - Es gibt wenig zu kritisieren. Vielleicht hätte man die Zufahrt ein wenig beschriften können. Le jardin permet de partager les repas à l'air libre si le beau temps est de la partie. L'endroit est très calme et le village Les Ricey l'est également. Nous avons eu l'occasion de faire quelques sorties VTT, chemins pas très techniques mais attention il y a du dénivelé, le coin est vallonné. Les amateurs de Champagne seront gâtés, de nombreux producteurs aux alentours avec possibilité de visiter les caves (nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu faire les visites compte tenu de la situation sanitaire du moment).read moreread less
